Linguistically Diverse Education Program: Metropolitan State College
This 22-23 credit sequence includes courses which address literacy and content instruction for English Language Learners as well as courses in language acquisition, the assessment of English Language Learners, and perspectives in the education of Linguistically Diverse students. Teachers who complete this sequence and pass the corresponding PLACE test will qualify for the Linguistically Diverse: ESL Specialist endorsement. Note: undergraduate credit only

PBS TeacherLine is the premier professional development resource offering online courses for Pre K-12 teachers. Trained, certified facilitators lead more than 100 top-quality, six-week courses that span the entire curriculum: Reading/Language Arts, Science, Mathematics,
Instructional Technology, and Instructional Strategies. To provide more professional development opportunities for teachers and paraprofessionals, and to assist them in meeting their Highly Qualified status, the Colorado Department of Education’s (CDE) Consolidated Federal Programs Unit is offering a $100 tuition reimbursement to any teacher completing one or more of the 30 CDE approved courses. Priority will be given to those from Title I schools, but this program is available to all.

UNC DNCE 508 - Using Movement as a Tool in Interdisciplinary Learning (online class)
Emphasis is on teaching academic concepts through movement. Participants learn to tailor movement experiences appropriate for communicating specific ideas to students.
