How to register online using the Avatar Professional Learning System
The APS Professional Learning Department is excited to introduce the new online Professional Learning Management System, Avatar. Through an easy-to-use learning portal, licensed staff are able to manage their individual professional learning portfolios. Here are some of the features that Avatar will provide for staff:
- View all APS professional learning opportunities through the online calendar and course catalog
- Ability to self register for professional learning courses at your convenience
- Updates and notifications regarding classes can be received through Groupwise
- Avatar will allow credits to be added to your transcript soon after course completion
- Ability to manage individual professional learning progress
- Track past courses and view/register for upcoming courses
- Receive information regarding professional learning opportunities that are content or grade specific
- Access individual progress with ability to print official transcripts
- Create course plans to support individual professional learning plans
- Monitor credentials
